PULLMAN, Wash. – Hit singer, songwriter and record producer Andy Grammer will be the featured performer at Dad’s Weekend, 7:30‑9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Beasley Coliseum.

The concert is slated for the day before the WSU Cougars football team hosts the California Golden Bears at Martin Stadium.

Grammer is the first male pop star in a decade since John Mayer to reach the Top 10 at Adult Pop Radio on his first two singles. He has taken the music world by storm with a succession of anthemic pop hits — one, titled “Back Home,” which is regularly sung at WSU home football games, with familiar lyrics:

See, we won’t forget where we came from
The city won’t change us
We beat to the same drum
No, we won’t forget where we came from
The city can’t change us
We beat to the same drum, the same drum
La-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah
La-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-dah-doe
And no matter where we go
We always find our way back home

Grammer’s debut album featured the platinum singles “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me.” His second album, “Magazines or Novels,” featured the triple platinum infectious smash hit “Honey, I’m Good,” which was one of the best-selling songs of 2015, and the certified gold anthem “Good to be Alive (Hallelujah).”

His current single “Fresh Eyes” is Top 10 at Adult Pop Radio, is certified gold, and has become a streaming phenomenon with over 150 million streams. Grammer has made over 30 national television appearances and has shared the stage with Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Florence and the Machine, Rachel Platten, Train, etc. He is currently working on his new album, which will debut this year.

Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, and cost $51.50 for general admission and $46.50 for WSU staff, faculty and students. Tickets will be available at any TicketsWest outlet including Beasley Coliseum, online at Ticketswest or call 800-325-SEAT.
