WSUV scholarship application readers needed

Faculty and staff are invited to volunteer to read scholarship applications. The number of applications increased 27 percent this year with 1,457 applications in the stack.

Volunteers will be provided with sample scholarship essays in advance of participation. You will also get one hour of training before reading applications. You may participate in as many read days as you are able.

Training/reading times:

  • 1 – 5 p.m. Monday, March 5
  • 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 7
  • 1 – 5 p. m. Thursday, March 8
  • 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday, March 9

Read only (no training) times:

  • 1 – 5 p .m. Wednesday, March 7
  • 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 8
  • 1 – 5 p .m. Friday, March 9

Please respond to Assistant Director of Student Financial Services April Tovar, 6-9103, by Feb. 28 with the time(s) you are available, and make sure to have one training day.
