WSU Press hosts Holiday Book Fair

PULLMAN – The WSU Press will offer discounts of 20-50 percent at its Holiday Book Fair 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Holland/Terrell Library atrium.
 
This is a new location for the annual event, which also will feature holiday cookies, giveaways and a selection of free books with every $30 purchase.
 
Among the featured new book titles from WSU Press are:

“Greenscapes: Olmsted’s Pacific Northwest,” by Joan Hockaday. Following his famous stepfather’s footsteps, landscape architect John Charles Olmsted designed premier regional parks that still refresh urban souls in Portland, Seattle and Spokane. Sale $20.97.

“Making the Grade: Plucky Schoolmarms of Kittitas Country,” by Barb Owen. Thirteen former schoolmarms reflect fondly on their days of teaching in remote locales between 1914 and 1939. Sale $13.97
