Single-game football tickets on sale Saturday, Aug. 1

PULLMAN  – Washington State University football single-game tickets and three-game packs for home games will go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. WSU Director of Ticket Sales Dan Meyer announced.

“This special on-line pre-sale opportunity will extend throughout the weekend at the Cougar Athletics official website, WSUCougars.com,” Meyer said. “Phone sales and in-person sales at the WSU Athletic Ticket Office will begin 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3.”

All tickets on sale will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, and patrons will be offered the best seats available to them at that time. Single-game tickets for Pullman home games have been available to season ticket holders since April.

“We are extremely excited about the opportunity to provide our fans with this pre-sale opportunity via our internet sales channel,” Meyer said. “We anticipate our customers will appreciate the ease with which they can purchase tickets this weekend.”

With a solid five-game home schedule, Meyer feels the demand for tickets is expected to be strong. Tickets range from $20-$40, with a Family Plan option (4 tickets) available for all games for just $75.

“I’m excited at the opportunity to open the season against a Pac-10 opponent (Stanford) in Pullman,” said Meyer.  “The way the schedule lines up, we should have a good mix of weather, special events and solid opponents to get Cougar Nation fired up to come out to Martin Stadium.”

WSU kicks off the season against Stanford, Sept. 5. The Cougars then face June Jones’ SMU Mustangs in the only Pullman non-conference matchup on September 19.  Arizona State is the sole Martin Stadium opponent in October, playing the role of homecoming opponent on Oct. 10.

Dad’s Weekend features the UCLA Bruins for a Nov. 14 matchup before WSU concludes its home season against the defending Sun Bowl champion Oregon State Beavers, Nov. 21.

This season, the Cougars are offering a special three-game “mini-plan,” providing customers the option to purchase three games for $80.  The mini-plan gives customers the option to purchase any two of the first four games, along with the Senior Day game versus Oregon State.

To ensure the best possible seating, Cougar fans are reminded that season football tickets are $200 per seat, with great locations still available. Value plans for four tickets in selected sections are $425.

Tickets for the Sept. 12 Cougar Gridiron Classic presented by Washington’s Beef Producers, featuring the Cougars versus Hawaii at Seattle’s Qwest Field, are also currently on sale. Ticket prices range from $7 to $55 and are available online at WSUCougars.com, by phone at 1-800-GO-COUGS, or through all Ticketmaster outlets.
