The magazine is produced by the Center for Distance and Professional Education. The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VIII gave the publication a silver prize in the External Audience Magazine category. Senior Communications and Marketing Coordinator Richard H. Miller won a bronze award for his article, “Coug Country at 30,000 feet.”
“We have a superb marketing team,” said Debra O’Donnell, director of marketing, communications and recruiting for the center, “and many outstanding nontraditional students. Revolutions magazine puts the two together, creating a publication that’s both inspiring and informative.”

“It’s exciting that our collaboration is being recognized by our peers,” said Mowrer, who has a 2004 fine arts degree from WSU’s College of Liberal Arts.
“We have an incredibly diverse student body,” said Miller, a veteran newspaper editor who joined the WSU staff in June 2008. “I’m glad for the chance to tell their stories.”
CASE District VIII encompasses the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. The awards will be presented at a February conference in Seattle.
