Experience South Central Asian Culture

VANCOUVER – In support of the freshmen reading project, “Three Cups of Tea”, by Greg Mortenson and Portland’s David Oliver Relin, a bazaar will be hosted 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10.
 
Learn about South Central Asian life, quilts, mountain climbing, fair trade and more at the bazaar, located at the Firstenburg Student Commons at WSU Vancouver.
 
Visitors to the bazaar can hear Mohammad Saeed Rahman give the keynote address on Pakistan and the One Ummah Foundation, at 12:30 p.m. in the commons.
 
The bazaar will feature chai tea, henna tattoos and the chance to shop for scarves, jewelry and other unique items.
 
WSU Vancouver will host a discussion with the book’s writer, David Oliver Relin, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m., free and open to the public.
