Grads BBQ and Commencement ceremony

WSU Pullman graduates and their families are invited to attend two Alumni Centre graduation events May 1 and 3.

All 2008 graduates — undergrads and grad students — will have an opportunity to partake in a free barbeque meal 5 – 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, on the Lewis Alumni Centre front lawn.

After the commencement ceremony, on Saturday, May 3, graduates and their families also are welcome attend a ringing of the Victory Bell to celebrate their accomplishment.

Originally forged in 1892, the Victory Bell rang for decades to signify the start of classes. Since moving to the Lewis Alumni Centre, the Victory Bell has been rung to celebrate every home Cougar football victory.  And on Saturday, it will serve to announce graduation, as well as a photogenic background for many photos.
