ASWSU Announces the 2006-2007 Presidential Debates

PULLMAN, Wash. — Starting Feb. 21, the Associated Students of Washington State University in conjunction with various campus groups will present the 2006-2007 Presidential Debate series. This series of four debates will highlight the platforms of WSU’s future student leaders and various issues surrounding the campus community. 



Students can attend the debates at no cost, watch them the following night at 7:15 p.m. on channel 8 or log onto www.experience.wsu.edu to see a replay. It is the first time that Cable 8 Productions will offer the opportunity to see each of the debates via television or computer. 



The 2006-2007 Presidential Debate series includes a Greek debate, presented by the Interfraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council at 7 p.m. Feb 21 in the Kappa Alpha Theta Chapter; a Multicultural debate, presented by the WSU Multicultural Center at 6:30 p.m. Feb 23 in the Compton Union Building Lair; a Residence Hall debate, presented by RHA at 7 p.m. Feb 28, with the location TBA; and an All Campus debate, presented by Cable 8 Productions at 7:15 p.m. March 6 in Studio B, Murrow Hall. 



The All Campus debate, presented by Cable 8 Productions will be televised live on channel 8 and simulcast at the www.experience.wsu.edu Web site. Before and during the debates students will have the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates either in studio or via the internet by e-mailing: aswsu.debates@wsu.edu
