Members named to Tri-Cities chancellor search committee

Eleven additional members have been named to the committee that will search for a chancellor for Washington State University Tri-Cities.

Earlier, WSU President V. Lane Rawlins named Harold Dengerink, chancellor of WSU Vancouver, and Paul Rosier, superintendent of the Kennewick School District, to co-chair the search.

Additional members of the search committee include:

.   Frank Armijo, chief executive officer of Lockheed Martin and vice chair of Tri-Cities Industrial Development Council(TRIDEC) Higher Education Committee;
.   LoAnn Ayers, director of development/community outreach, WSU Tri-Cities;
.   Stephanie Bauman, associate professor of counseling psychology, WSU Tri-Cities;
.   Raul Diaz, founding member of the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and AFLAC insurance agent;
.   Rufus Friday, publisher, Tri-City Herald;
.   Vicki Gordon, Gordon Brothers Inc.;
.   Mike Lawrence, deputy lab director, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL);
.   Don Lynch, vice chancellor for academic programs, WSU Tri-Cities;
.   Wayne Martin, PNNL program leader and chair of the Columbia Basin College Board of Trustees;
.   Lura Powell, Advanced Imaging Technologies and TRIDEC executive committee;
.   Ray Whitlow, Harnes, Anderson & Whitlow.

The committee will seek a permanent successor for Larry James, who in August was named associate executive vice president for the Pullman campus. David Lemak, professor of management and director of business programs at WSU Tri-Cities, is serving as interim chancellor of the campus.
