School counseling program retains full accreditation

PULLMAN — The Washington State Board of Education approved full accreditation for the preparation program for school counselors at Washington State University’s College of Education at its June 16 meeting.

The WSU program was approved for the maximum five years, said assistant professor Tina Anctil, who participated in the accreditation presentation.

All 18 preparation programs for Washington state school counselors were required to seek accreditation and to make program changes to meet state educational mandates to be accredited.
