Campus Police Seek Information on Missing Student

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University Police are seeking information related to the whereabouts of Stefan P. Tyburski, a WSU student who was last seen at his apartment on the Pullman campus on or about Feb. 5.

Campus Police Chief Steve Hansen said Tyburski, who has not been seen by his apartment roommates for more than two weeks, was reported missing by family members.

A 23-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes, Tyburski is described as 5 ft. 10 in. and weighing 160 pounds. He was driving a gray 1987 Subaru GL, with Washington plate number 493 KGP.

Hansen said police are attempting to conduct a “welfare check” on Tyburski in light of indications he was not intending to be gone for an extended period. Anyone with information that may be related to the case is asked to call either Sgt. Don C. Maupin, at (509) 335-6206, or Officer Jeff Olmstead, at (509) 335-4310.
