WSU President Rawlins hosts community conversation Nov. 10

Washington State University President V. Lane Rawlins will host a communitywide forum on the north Richland campus at 7 p.m.Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the East Building Auditorium.

The forum is designed to solicit community comments on the university’s plans for the future development of the Tri-Cities campus and the academic programs it offers.

WSU Tri-Cities Chancellor Larry James will join Rawlins in outlining the university’s response to legislation passed last year re-authorizing the branch campuses of both WSU and the University of Washington.

WSU Tri-Cities’ proposal includes the addition of four-year bachelor’s degree programs in the Tri-Cities and expansion of the campus’ service area to include most of the mid-Columbia region of the state.
