PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University faculty members from the School of Music and Theatre Arts will perform a Sept. 16 concert of chamber music in memory of the late Kemble Stout.
The 8 p.m. concert will be in Bryan Hall Theatre and is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the theatre lobby. Members of the Stout family will attend the event.

He stayed busy as a piano tuner and technician and worked with architects to design the original Kimbrough music building. The music listening library in Kimbrough is named after him.
Stout shared his collection of piano rolls with listeners across the country by narrating and recording 242 half-hour programs for a series he titled “The Legendary Pianists.”
He died peacefully at home July 3.
