PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University President V. Lane Rawlins and other administrative, faculty and student leaders will participate in an open discussion on war-related issues with university community members at noon Friday, March 7, in the Compton Union Building Cascade Room.
Among those who also will be available to talk about the threat of war and other concerns with WSU students, faculty and staff are Provost Robert Bates; Charlene Jaeger, vice president for student affairs; Robert Harder, director of International Programs; and representatives from the Faculty Senate, Associate Students of Washington State University and Graduate and Professional Students Association.
“As we face the threat of war, there are many issues and concerns before our students, faculty and staff,” Vice President Jaeger said. “We hope this discussion will begin to provide a way for people to express their feelings and get their questions answered.”
On Wednesday, March 5, about 75 students met with administrators to voice concerns about the threat of war and other related issues. They requested to meet with President Rawlins and have him address several of their concerns.
