WSU’s Greek governing councils receive prestigious excellence awards

Washington State University Pullman’s fraternity and multicultural Greek governing councils earned numerous awards during the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) Western Conference held in Anaheim, California, on Feb. 28.

WSU’s Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), which governs 14 culturally based fraternity and sororities on campus, was honored with the MGC Excellence Award for the second time since 2019. This recognition underscores the council’s distinction as one of the premier councils in the nation, triumphing over more than 60 other campuses. The award is reserved for the most elite governing councils that exhibit exceptional leadership and make substantial contributions to their campus communities.

WSU’s Interfraternity Council (IFC) governs 25 fraternities at WSU and took home two top Campus Compass Awards.

Established in 1948, AFLV West is the oldest regional fraternal conference in the country. Each year, more than 760 participants from more than 50 campuses gather to discuss and share information about the fraternity and sorority experience.
