WSU Zoom now HIPAA compliant

ITS’ Zoom support team is excited to share the news that Washington State University and Zoom now offer our university a HIPAA-compliant WSU Zoom account.

With limited HIPAA-compliant Zoom licensing in place up to this point, the updated agreement results in the safeguarded privacy of WSU’s protected health information (PHI) university-wide.

The WSU Zoom Support Team is set to launch the changes effective July 16. There will be no service interruptions or follow-up steps required of general WSU users. For those in the HIPAA-compliant Zoom licensing, instructions will be offered in Zoom on how to return to using the primary WSU Zoom account.

If you have any questions or concerns about Zoom or HIPAA compliance, please reach out to zoom.support@wsu.edu.
