WSU VPN update, Dec. 17

Information Technology Services (ITS) is implementing a system-wide update to WSU’s GlobalProtect Virtual Private Network (VPN) on Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

WSU VPN services may be unavailable for up to one hour during this time, and users may be unable to access systems that require VPN.

Following this update:

  • Users must re-authenticate to access the VPN. When prompted for a portal address, enter vpn.wsu.edu and select Connect. Users can enter their WSU credentials to sign in and establish a secure connection.
  • WSU VPN users are encouraged to monitor the systems they typically use for any connection issues. If you experience unexpected access issues while connected to WSU VPN services on or after Dec. 18, please contact your local IT support team for assistance.

To learn more about the expected impact for this scheduled WSU VPN update, please visit the ITS website.

For any questions or concerns, please contact Crimson Service Desk at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu or 509-335-4357.
