Washington State University’s Gender Identity/Expression and Sexual Orientation Resource Center (GIESORC) will hold its Annual Lavender Graduation Celebration Friday, April 14, in the pavilion at Banyans on the Ridge, 1260 Palouse Ridge Drive, in Pullman.
The free event will begin at 6 p.m. with a silent auction and social hour, followed by the program at 7 p.m. Hearty hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.
Jeffrey A. Dodge, associate dean of students at the University of Idaho College of Law, will deliver the keynote address titled, “Living An Authentic Life: Finding Inspiration, Purpose, and Happiness in the Face of Adversity”.
“Area merchants and allies have donated items to our silent auction valuing a total of $2,000,” said Maureen Smith, coordinator in GIESORC. “We encourage friendly competitive bidding.”
All the money raised at Lavender Graduation will support student programming in the GIESORC.
