WSU School of Music and Palouse Choral Society collaborate on Hayden’s ‘Mass for Troubled Times’

The Washington State University School of Music choral ensembles and Symphony Orchestra will join forces with the Palouse Choral Society for “A Classical Collaboration.” Under the baton of Drs. Dean Luethi (WSU Director of Choral Activities) and Matthew Myers (Artistic Director of the Palouse Choral Society and WSU Associate Director of Choral Activities), the combined choirs and orchestra will perform Franz Joseph Haydn’s Mass for Troubled Times (also known as the Lord Nelson Mass) as well as Haydn’s Te Deum. Featured soloists include Alisa Toy (soprano), Michelle Lange (mezzo-soprano), and WSU faculty Dr. Matthew Myers (tenor), and Dr. Aaron Agulay (baritone).

A pre-concert lecture will be held at 7 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, in WSU’s Bryan Hall (605 Veterans Way, Pullman). General admission tickets are $20 and available palousechoralsociety.org. Admission is free for all WSU students and children aged 6–12.
