WSU Pullman wireless network outage, May 23

From 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, Information Technology Services (ITS) will perform a scheduled maintenance on WSU Pullman’s wireless services. Impacting all WSU Pullman wireless users, this maintenance will result in a brief, 10‑minute outage for the following networks:

  • WSU Wireless
  • WSU Wireless Aruba
  • AthleticsMedia
  • Beasley Private Network

This wireless outage will not impact Global Protect VPN or on‑campus wired network connections.

During this maintenance window, ITS will change the IP space WSU Pullman users land in when connected to the WSU Wireless networks. ITS will also change the IP addresses users originate from when accessing external resources. Wireless Role Based Networks are excluded from this change.

More information on the upcoming IP changes is available on its.wsu.edu. Technical staff managing a firewall or server access list should review these details prior to May 23.

Please direct questions regarding this maintenance to Crimson Service Desk via email at crimsonservicedesk@wsu.edu or phone at 509‑335‑4357.
