WSU Foster Youth Scholars Fund Launch

We have established a new fund: WSU Foster Youth Scholars!

Statistically, children who’ve been in foster care are the highest risk population of all college students.  Nationally, 84% of foster youth desire a college education but only 10% will attend, and only 3% of those who attend will earn a baccalaureate degree. We’ve been successful in increasing our retention rates at WSU through program support including personal, academic and career counseling. However, we still lose too many students as a result of their lack of financial support.   By increasing the pool of scholarship funds, you can help these students transform their future by enrolling in and staying in school!

Please consider supporting WSU Foster Youth by visiting the WSU Foundation web site and making a gift of any size to the WSU Foster Youth Scholars fund.  In fact, you can make a gift in installments over time. https://secure.wsu.edu/give/default.aspx?fund=7517
