WSU faculty/staff evening fitness classes

With summer now upon us, CAHNRS would like for everyone to know that free evening fitness classes are available for all employees, staff, faculty, and retirees. These classes are both in-person (usually at Ensminger Pavilion) and also available via Zoom, occurring every week throughout the year.

The program is now in its 10th year, and is taught by CAHNRS staff member Robert Yarbrough, a certified group fitness, aquatic fitness, and Tai Chi instructor.

The current schedule is as follows:

  • Monday: Introductory Yoga
    Gentle stretching and pose holding.
  • Tuesday: Zumba Gold
Low cardio/impact dance fitness set to international rhythms.
  • Thursday: Zumba Toning
Low cardio/impact dance fitness with toning sticks.

If interested, contact Robert Yarbrough at yarbrord@wsu.edu and ask to be placed on the yoga mailing list, the Zumba mailing list, or both. On the day of class, there is an email reminder which will also include any venue changes and the Zoom link for those who prefer to attend from home.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience.
