WSU events set for National Transfer Student Week Oct. 16–20

Faculty and staff are encouraged to let their undergraduate students know that National Transfer Student Week is Oct. 16–20, and plenty of events with the theme of “Full Steam Ahead” are scheduled at WSU Pullman.

Workshops, a presentation, and even a paint-and-sip (a caffeinated beverage) de-stressing session will take place throughout the mid-campus area. The host of activities is the WSU Transfer Center for Policy and Resources.

“The events are intended to be fun and informative, and are available to transfer students and their friends,” said Laura Welch, assistant director of the center.

The week-long schedule is designed to highlight the WSU transfer student experience and get students connected to campus resources and support systems.

Special presentations are also set for prospective transfer students and their academic advisors outside the WSU system.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
