WSU CAMP named an Example of Excelencia finalist

The College Assistance Migrant Education (CAMP) Program on the Washington State University Pullman campus has been named a finalist in the baccalaureate category to be recognized as an Example of Excelencia, a prestigious honor given by one of the country’s leading Latine education organizations.

Excelencia in Education is a national non-profit that works to transform educational policies to support Latine student success. On Aug. 13, the organization announced that WSU’s CAMP is among 17 finalists from across the country to be selected this year. It is the third time CAMP has been named a finalist, previously receiving the honor in 2019 and 2022. Of this year’s finalists, three will be selected as a “2024 Example” and be recognized during the organization’s Celebración de Excelencia gathering in Washington, D.C., Sept. 29–30.
