WSU Army ROTC conducting training Sept. 1

Members of the Washington State University’s Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program will be conducting training exercises on the Pullman campus throughout the fall semester.

The first of these trainings is scheduled to take place from 2:30–5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Steffen Center on the eastern edge of campus. The training will involve Cougar Battalion members using dummy rifles, which are made to stand‑in for authentic firearms during practice exercises.

Aside from dummy weapon training exercises, WSU Army ROTC members will also be conducting training with the university’s police department and conducting ruck marches along the Chipman Trail during the semester.
