Women in Agriculture Conference

On October 27, the 2018 Women in Agriculture Conference will offer women in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Alaska a unique opportunity to gather in 35 different locations for a one-day event featuring knowledgeable speakers, inspiring stories, networking and practical advice for learning new skills. This year’s conference theme, “Pump Up Your Financial Fitness! Strengthen your Farm Operation with a Healthy Cash Flow” is for women farmers and anyone working with women farmers.

Featured speakers for the day include Robin Reid, Farm Economist with Kansas State University Extension, LaVell Winsor, Farm Analyst with Kansas State University Extension and Sarah Beth Aubrey, Author and Farmer with Aubrey Coaching & Training, LLC.   Reid and Winsor will speak on How Does Your Cash Flow? Aubrey will speak on Women: You are a Valuable Part of Agriculture.  She and her family raise cattle and launched a retail meat business.

Locally, the conference will be held in Moscow on the University of Idaho Campus, in the Ag Science Building Room 62, 875 Perimeter Drive.  For details about the conference and registration refer to the website www.womeninag.wsu.edu.  The early bird registration fee up to October 14 is $30 per person and includes a light breakfast, lunch and conference materials.  A limited number of scholarships are available for agricultural college students and 4-H or FFA members.
