Wildfire smoke affecting outdoor air quality

Air quality in various locations statewide may begin to deteriorate due to wildfire smoke. WSU Campuses and Research and Extension Centers could be affected. When wildfire smoke is projected to deteriorate air quality to unhealthy levels ventilation in buildings is switched to recirculation mode when feasible, minimizing the amount of smoke entering buildings.
