Webinar: ‘Building Tribal-Academic Partnerships to Protect Pacific Salmon from Toxic Urban Stormwater’

Please join the Water Research Center on Thursday, Feb. 22, for its first spring seminar series presentation. In the upcoming series, the Center’s 2022–23 seed grant recipients will discuss their research and some of Washington State’s water-related challenges. The first webinar in the series is:

“Building Tribal-Academic Partnerships to Protect Pacific Salmon from Toxic Urban Stormwater”
Presented by Stephanie Blair, PhD candidate
Thursday, Feb. 22, from noon–1 p.m.

Stephanie and her advisor, Dr. Jenifer McIntyre, investigated the toxicity of urban stormwater, specifically the tire chemical 6PPD-quinone, to Pacific Salmon. In her presentation, Stephanie will discuss the results of their research and her collaborative work on this issue.
