Webi Training Registrations Open

The ITS Business Objects migration team is ready to continue moving Business Objects users over to the new Webi cloud-based tool once again.

Just a few of Webi’s terrific user benefits:

  • Reports are accessible from anywhere
  • Clean, user-friendly interface
  • Easy editing, eliminating “You are not authorized to use this document” on reports
  • Options: prompts created in the query can be marked as optional, allowing users to ignore those prompts, if they wish.

Beginning this Tuesday, June 5th, multiple weekly training options will provide ample opportunity to find a time that fits with your schedule.  When you register, your login will be set up and waiting for you at the training session.  In the training, you will learn where your reports are stored in the new platform, how to generate reports, and an overall introduction to the new workspace.

Once training is complete, you are equipped to fully shift to Webi, and leave your desktop Business Objects behind.

Users can pre-register for training using the following link:

  1. https://tinyurl.com/ybvplx56  click on the Skillport link in the Quick Links Pagelet within myWSU to access the site. Then search for “Business Objects Webi” training.-You are able to choose to attend in person or via Skype.-Local Pullman sessions are denoted by “Pullman, WA” in the City/State column of the schedule.-Online sessions are denoted by “Online” in the City/State column of the schedule.
  2. After reviewing the schedule, click the “Enroll” link to the right of the option you prefer. -Please read the instructions that are included in the confirmation email you receive after enrolling.

Final date to complete training and shift from desktop Business Objects to the cloud service will be announced as soon as it is available.
