View past faculty workshops, help plan future ones

WSU’s 2014-2015 series of faculty workshops wrapped up last week with a look at how faculty can better use data from course evaluations. Presenting were Samantha Swindell, clinical associate professor of psychology, and Becky Dueben and Elizabeth Carney, both assessment specialists at the Office of Assessment of Teaching and Learning. A video of the presentation is now on YouTube.

The workshop was part of a series sponsored by the WSU Provost’s Office, WSU Teaching Academy and WSU Global Campus. Previous workshops have covered such topics as flipped classrooms, virtual worlds, student engagement, liberating structures, academic integrity, tech tools and concept mapping. Videos of those workshops are listed on this YouTube page.

Topics are now being planned for the 2015-2016 series. To help with the process, faculty are asked to fill out a very brief survey on their interests and challenges. All ideas and input are welcome. Access the survey here.
