Updated WSU Records Retention Schedule

The office of Policies, Records, and Forms has been working on an overhaul of the WSU Records Retention Schedule (PDF) in an effort to improve clarity, accessibility, and overall functionality. All WSU employees should become familiarized with the new schedule, which holds records series unique to WSU.

Note: As WSU is a state agency, employees must also refer to the Washington State General Records Retention Schedule (PDF), which holds records series that apply to all state agencies.

Each department/unit should have a Department Records Coordinator registered with PRF. Currently registered DRCs have received an update email with dates for information sessions, helpful resources, and links to the retention schedules.

Reach out to your DRC or to PRF at policies@wsu.edu with questions about records retention and disposition.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
