Soak up the last few days of sun and learn the sport of kayak touring on the Snake River! The ORC is holding a Kayak Touring Fundamental trip Oct. 11-12. Before the trip, there is a pool session to teach participants the necessary boat exit and rescue techniques. At the river, participants will learn how to prep and load a kayak before they embark on their overnight adventure! This trip has a level 2 rating, so no kayak experience is necessary! Registration is $75 for SRC members and $115 for non-members. The trip cost includes group gear, camping and kayaking gear, transportation, permits and trip leaders! Food is not included. There is a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. at the ORC. Registration ends Oct. 5 so sign up today at urec.wsu.edu/outdoor-recreation.
