Town Hall: Institutional research computing at WSU, April 30!

With the acquisition this month of a $1.2 million high-performance computer, Washington State University’s research computing is going condo.

The new system, which will be available to WSU researchers across the state, is part of a growing trend in condominium cluster computing in which researchers own pieces of a larger computing system. They can use their share when they want, but when they are not using it, it is available to other university researchers.  [https://news.wsu.edu/2015/04/21/april-30-wsus-research-computing-to-go-condo/#.VTgc0010waU]

Plan to attend the Town Hall on April 30 in CUE 203 for a reception at 3:30 p.m. and presentation at 4 p.m. This will be broadcast via AMS at Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver and Everett.
