Top business executives share information technology Oct. 5

Learn about technology careers and how technology drives value in successful businesses at the annual Business Technology Symposium, (https://tinyurl.com/biztechsymposium) 1-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, CUB Auditorium, at Washington State University.

Presenters include:

Cameron Schwartz, systems engineering manager, Dell EMC. Schwartz will emcee the Business Technology Symposium.

Kashif Ansari, vice president, Americas Enterprise Presales, Dell EMC.

Megan Bigelow, director of customer reliability engineering, Heptio.

Frank Harrill, director of security, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.

Immediately following the symposium is the Biz Tech Competition (BiTC), in which management information systems students will present posters on solutions for business technology challenges in the Marriott Hospitality Dining Room, Todd Addition 268. Winners will take home $4,000 in cash prizes, funded by the Sampson Frank S. Endowment. Participant registration is available at https://tinyurl.com/biztechcompetition until Sunday, Sept. 30.

The public and students in all majors are invited to hear top executives from leading enterprises discuss technology career pathways and how technology professionals create solutions for business problems, as well as to attend the competition.

The event is hosted by the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship within the WSU Carson College of Business.
