TODAY’S the deadline for Law Awards for Undergraduate Teaching in UCORE courses

Faculty on all campuses who teach UCORE courses are encouraged to consider applying by Monday, March 23, for the Richard G. Law Excellence Award for Undergraduate Teaching.

The award recognizes outstanding teaching in general education courses across the university. There have been eight award winners since 2013. Recipients are described as educators who inspire curiosity into, and an understanding of, an area of study. Through their teaching, they encourage the development of lifelong learning skills.

Those eligible for the award include all instructors of record (instructors and clinical faculty as well as tenure-track faculty) on all campuses whose teaching has included at least one UCORE class annually for at least the past three years.

The award honors Dick Law, WSU administrator and long-time general education leader from 1990 until his 2009 retirement.

Detailed information about the award and the application process are online at https://vpue.wsu.edu.
