Today! Guided discussion and celebration with artist Jeffrey Gibson

Join us today for an enriching afternoon of cultural exchange with artist Jeffrey Gibson. Starting at 1:30 p.m., engage in a guided discussion exploring identity through choices of adornment. This conversation, moderated by Michael Holloman, associate professor with the department of art at WSU, offers unique insights. Special guests include Nakia Williamson-Cloud, cultural resources program director of the Nimíipuu tribe.

At 4 p.m., celebrate with us as we mark the exhibition “Jeffrey Gibson: They Teach Love, from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation.” The program will begin with a welcome to the homelands of the Nimíipuu and the Palus people from Nimíipuu tribal members. Light refreshments will follow.

Location | The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU is located in the Crimson Cube (on Wilson Road across from Martin Stadium and the CUB) on the WSU Pullman campus. For more information, please visit museum.wsu.edu.
