Today: Dedication of interactive murals by WSU artists & chemists

Four colorful and exciting outdoor murals created through an innovative collaboration between WSU artists and chemists will be dedicated to Kamiak Elementary School and the surrounding community today, Oct. 21, at 4 p.m. on the new school’s playground at 1400 NW Terre View Dr., Pullman.

Members of the mural team will briefly describe the educational project and answer questions about the art and chemistry involved in the paintings’ design and creation, particularly the thermochromic features that make two of the murals interactive by their sensitivity to temperature changes, including from human touch.

Check WSU Insider for more details about this dynamic project and join the fun by putting your hand print on these unique works of art.
