The Bookforms Library is a collection of artist’s books, zines, comics and other printed objects and ephemera. Artist’s books are simply works of art in book form and provide unique opportunities for artist’s to explore text, images, sequence, time and interaction. The collection contains approximately 225 items in a wide range of formats; from zines produced on single photocopied sheets, to handmade collaged books, to elaborately produced books with unique formats, to decks of cards and other objects.
The Bookforms Library is located in room 7061 of the Fine Arts Center, and will hold an inaugural opening on Friday, Jan. 28 from 12–5 p.m. with an ‘instant book’ zine workshop from 1:30–2:30 p.m. To register for the workshop, which is limited to 12 participants, please contact Kevin Haas at khaas@wsu.edu. The Bookforms Library is a non-circulating library that is open to all on the last Friday of each month from 12–2:30 p.m. during the semester, or by appointment (khaas@wsu.edu).
