SURCA 2015 abstract submissions open now for undergraduate researchers

The Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA) 2015 on Monday, March 30 is a great venue for experienced and novice researchers in all grades and on all campuses to share posters about their mentored work and results with volunteer judges and event guests.

Prizes will be awarded to top presenters in eight categories that span science, humanities, social science, arts, and engineering topics.

At https://SURCA.wsu.edu:

  • Students can submit abstracts through Feb. 23, 2015 (please tell your mentees!)
  • Faculty, postdocs, and other experts can apply to be judges
  • You can view the SURCA calendar of events

The first SURCA was in 2011, when several independent poster events merged into one hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research in the WSU Office of Undergraduate Education. SURCA has had more than 450 participants, generated 180 awards, and welcomed dozens of volunteers to be expert judges, including faculty, postdocs, students, staff, and community members.

SURCA is the final event of WSU Showcase week that celebrates excellence on campus.
