Summer Financial Aid Awards Now in Students’ Hands

Summer session students can now see their financial aid awards on ZZUSIS.  For the first time, Student Financial Services is processing summer aid packages without requiring students to submit a separate financial aid application. Plus, awards are being sent out over a month earlier than last year.  This is good news for students trying to determine what aid they’ll receive before charges are posted to their WSU Student Account.  Awards can be viewed and accepted right on ZZUSIS.  Once a student registers for the minimum credits needed to receive summer financial aid (6 credits for undergraduates and 3 credits for graduates), then Student Financial Services will review the student’s account for aid eligibility. A student must also have a 2013-2014 FAFSA application on file to be considered.

An email is sent to the student letting them know whether they qualified or they didn’t qualify for summer financial aid.  All aid is delivered the first day of the student’s first summer class. For more information about summer financial aid and how it works, contact Student Financial Services at 509-335-9711, finaid@wsu.edu or check our website at finaid.wsu.edu for useful FAQs and Announcements.
