Student Technology Fees are paid by each undergraduate student for the purpose of providing technology resources for general student use at Washington State University. The “technology fee” is a fee charged to students to recover, in whole or in part, the costs of providing and maintaining services to students that include, but need not be limited to: Access to the internet and world wide web, e-mail, computer and multimedia work stations and laboratories, computer software, and dial-up telephone services (RCW28B.15.051).The request template and request process timeline, as well as the Technology Fee Committee Guidelines and governing RCW can be found at: http://budget.wsu.edu/technology-fee/index.html
All application materials are due to Emily Green (ewgreen@wsu.edu) no later than Tuesday, February 27, at noon. The Technology Fee Committee will conduct a Technology Budget Review and application preview Tuesday, February 27, 4 – 5 p.m. in French Ad 442 Conference Room. Technology Fee Hearings will be conducted Tuesday, February 27, 5 – 8 p.m. in Lighty 405 followed by deliberations on Wednesday, February 28, 4 p.m. in Lighty 405. The public is welcome to attend all meetings, hearings and deliberations.
