STEM Education Workshop February 5

Share ideas, define goals and activities, and begin to develop a university-wide strategy for advancing STEM education at WSU. We expect to form 3-4 work groups during this workshop for the purpose of pursuing substantial interdisciplinary grants to support STEM education initiatives, including underrepresented and nontraditional student access to STEM education. The goal is to work collaboratively on evidence-based practices that will enhance, and indeed transform, STEM education at WSU. If you have a proposal for a program, approach, or innovation that you would like to share with the full group in a 10-15 minute presentation, send a 1-page summary to Becky James (elizabeth.james@wsu.edu or 335-3822) by January 20, 2016.

February 5, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., CUE 518

Lunch will be provided. Travel funds may be available for participants from urban campuses on a first-come-first-serve basis; contact Becky James by January 22 for more information.
