State of the University tops today’s list of Showcase events

At 3 p.m. this afternoon, tune in online for the annual State of the University event. President Schulz and Provost Chilton will highlight some of the University’s most noteworthy accomplishments of the past year and discuss the future evolution of the WSU system.

The event is part of Showcase, the University’s week-long celebration of academic excellence. Showcase honors the achievements of WSU scholars and provides forums for sharing their research and creative work.

The full schedule of Showcase events includes poster sessions, competitions, presentations, and an awards ceremony. All held online, events will run through next Monday, March 29.

Several events are already underway, including Academic Showcase and the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) Research Exposition, both poster sessions, and Crimson Reads, a celebration of WSU authors.

Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA)
Freshmen through seniors in all disciplines compete for awards by sharing original contributions to their fields.
