The WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) invites students, parents, and guests to join us for two exciting Week of Welcome events. After a long day of moving in on Wednesday, August 16, join the CCE for a trip to the Pullman Farmers Market to stock up on fresh, local snacks to start your semester off right. Students and guests should meet outside of Bryan Hall (the clock tower) on Library Road at 4:30 pm. Click here for a map of the meeting place. Look for the carrot signs that say “Follow Me to the Farmers Market”! Parents, friends, guests, and others are welcome to join students on this short walk to the market. Students who attend the market will have the opportunity to enter a raffle drawing for gift certificates, snacks, and more. Students must be present to win.
On Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19, students are invited to join us on several great community service projects. Visit cce.wsu.edu/wow for a complete list of projects and registration links. Projects labeled “CCE-led projects” provide free transportation from campus to the project and back! Self-led projects do not provide transportation but are all accessible by foot or public transportation, which is free to students with their WSU ID.
Visit cce.wsu.edu/wow to learn more about these great events! We hope to see you for our Week of Welcome activities.
