Sept. 26- Poetry Slam w/ Elizabeth Acevedo

As part of WSU’s Hispanic Heritage Month, join us for an evening of discovering your voice, a Slam Poetry Event with Elizabeth Acevedo!

The event will take place in the CUB Sr. Ballroom on September 26, 2016 at 8:00pm.  The event is free to the WSU community.

You may have seen Elizabeth Acevedo in one of her viral poetry videos which have been picked up by Cosmopolitan, Latina Magazine, Huffington Post, and PBS. She has also been a featured performer on BET, as well as delivered several TED Talks. She’s a National Poetry Slam Champion and has performed at Madison Square Garden, The Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts, State Theatre of South Africa and most recently she returned from her European tour.  To see more of her poetry, please visit: acevedopoetry.com
