Seminar: “Li metal batteries: from fundamentals to application”

Please join us on Thursday, Nov. 1, 11 a.m. to Noon in ETRL room 101 (Tri-Cities in Floyd room 224) for a presentation by Dr. Andrew Westover, Staff Scientist in the Chemical Sciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

His presentation will be on Li metal batteries: from fundamentals to application. Electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and the possibility of electric aviation demand energy storage with extremely high specific and volumetric energy densities. Incorporating Li metal as the anode in a Li ion battery to make Li metal batteries has the potential to fill this demand. He will discuss the combined work of several efforts in this area.

Meet the speaker before the seminar in ETRL room 119 from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. We look forward to having you join us!
