Scholarship for the study of English as a foreign language

The Intensive American Language Center at Washington State University is receiving applications for the Violet Yates Scholarship for the study of English.

The Violet M. Yates Scholarship Fund was established by Mrs. Yates’ family in celebration of her eightieth birthday and her lifelong concern for the education of foreign-born women residing in our area. 

The scholarship will be awarded in January 2015 to a female living in Whitman, Latah, or Nez Perce county, who is a non-native speaker of English. This scholarship must be used towards tuition at the Intensive American Language Center during the Spring 2015 semester for the study of English as a Second Language.

DEADLINE FOR COMPLETED APPLICATIONS IS DECEMBER 1, 2014.
