ITS scheduled firewall maintenance, August 5

On August 5, Information Technology Services will be failing both the Border and DataCenter firewalls to make the Information Technology Building (ITB) firewalls active. The maintenance is scheduled from 8-9 p.m.

Prior to the scheduled ITB power outages, these firewalls were failed over to Sloan. The process of switching from one firewall to its HA partner may involve a brief, few second network latency as network traffic is rerouted.
