The theme for the Summer Institute Workshop is “scientific teaching.” Participants learn practical strategies for enhancing student learning. The institutes model the scientific teaching principles of active learning, assessment, & diversity, which are integrated into all aspects of the week’s schedule.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have observed, evaluated, & collected a portfolio of innovative teaching approaches & instructional materials that are ready to be adopted & adapted to their own teaching environments.
This opportunity to host the 2014 National Academies Summer Institute on the WSU Pullman campus is proudly hosted by the WSU Provost’s Office & the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine Teaching Academy.
Workshop Activities include: Reflective writing, planning, reading, researching, discussing teaching methods & philosophy, interactive presentations, & developing teaching materials.
Who is eligible to Participate: WSU Faculty, Post Docs, & Graduate Students from ALL Colleges in Pullman and at the Urban Campuses
Registration is open now until July 11! There will be 24 position open to anyone that is interested in participating in the entire workshop.
