Research Administration Series: Two sections offered on Feb. 23

Two separate topics within the ongoing Research Administration Series will be available on Friday, February 23.  Both are available University-wide via AMS Videoconferencing Services:

  • Budgeting for Sponsored Projects (10 a.m. – noon)
    This course defines sponsored projects and explains how they differ from other activities. The focus of the class is the allowability of costs, with an emphasis placed upon the Uniform Guidance (UG) and direct costs vs. facilities and administrative costs.

  • Understanding Facilities and Administration Costs (9 – 9:45 a.m.)
    This course provides insight into the purpose and use of facilities and administrative costs charged to sponsored projects. It addresses the importance of collecting those costs and WSU’s policy on exceptions to sponsors.
